Date night around my house is a rarity, but when I get the chance to escape with my Love, I take it. It’s a good way to keep love in your life and spend uninterrupted quality time with your main squeeze. One of my favorite things to do on date night is find a sitter or send the bigger kids to their friends and make an easy dinner for two, then cuddle on the couch for movies. Occasionally though, a movie comes out in theaters that I can’t wait to experience, like the one coming next month from one of my favorite authors, Nicholas Sparks. When it comes to the ultimate love story, he knows his stuff, and The Choice may just be the love story of 2016.
February 5th can’t come soon enough for me because I will be front row (or back row) snuggling with my Honey watching The Choice. I haven’t read the book yet because I actually like being surprised by my movies. I’ve never seen a Nicholas Sparks movie I didn’t love all the way back to A Walk to Remember and The Notebook. There’s just something about holding hands in a dark theater watching a movie with your Love that makes you feel like a teenager again.

The Choice is about making difficult choices of the heart to find your destiny and your perfect match. This setting is like many other Nicholas Sparks stories in the coastal Carolina, and North Carolina plays a big part in the story. Love fur babies? You’ll like that this movie actually features a couple brought together due to an encounter of their dogs, who play an adorable and important role in the story. I can tell you already, it would make a cute early Valentine’s Day date choice for an evening out with your significant other.
My Mr. has already given me the promise of a movie and dinner next month and I plan to hold him to that. When it comes to planning for our date nights, I usually just take charge since he is always working so hard. I love the process from picking the restaurant we’ll eat at to what he’s going to wear and especially planning my own date night outfit.
