. My new mobile plan from Walmart, the NEW Walmart Family Mobile PLUS really is paying for my next vacation. If you’re mobile plan isn’t paying for yours…..you better get on the wagon.
This year has started off with a lot of changes for the better. My kids are quickly growing right before my eyes and it’s been a little bittersweet. I have 3 in high school and next year will start a 3 year streak with them graduating one after the other, and this fall my baby will be starting kindergarten. It’s tough but exciting. I’ve stayed home raising them and I’ve been playing with the idea of going back into the work field (outside of my home) once my daughter starts school, if for nothing else but adult interaction. I’m still enjoying every bit of parenting from the sibling squabbles, to a first loose tooth, and especially the crazy sports schedules my older boys continue to have. I wouldn’t trade it for anything…..and of course I have to share everything on social media since some of my family lives far, far away!
This past Fall was crazy and there were so many milestones. My oldest son got his Sr. ring, and I was so proud to get through the ceremony without one tear……well, until he brought me his “place holder ring” on a chain. Cue the waterworks….
It was also busy with all the traveling since my two oldest went into the playoffs in football. We were traveling long distances every single week for several weeks. What I love about working from home is that I can make sure to catch all of these amazing experiences with them (I’m their biggest fan).
I can also work while I’m on my way to their games on my phone, but doing that caused a huge issue with my current mobile plan…….the data charges just about broke me since I was on the road using my (limited) data for either responding to time sensitive emails, letting my daughter watch her videos on the 2 hour long drives, or……..updating family and friends when I land in the ER in the city with dislocated shoulders or when my kids do things like shoot each other in the eyeballs with air soft guns……..what yours don’t do that?
Or maybe yours are the type that commit grand theft auto from time to time……you gotta share, and that takes data!
I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to get messages start coming in halfway through my billing cycle that my data has reached it’s limit and being charged $15 for each 1gb overage. Do you know how long that lasts……between 4 lines? About a nano-second! I have been really unhappy with my mobile plan for a long time, but being locked into a contract leaves me limited options. That contract will be out in a few months, and I CAN NOT WAIT!!! We purchased the Walmart Family Mobile plan for my son about a year ago, and I’ve been extremely pleased with it. When I heard about the NEWEST Walmart Family Mobile PLUS plan that just released this week I knew I had to go for it.
The new Walmart Family Mobile PLUS for just $49.88 a month is unbeatable in my opinion. I’m talking about unlimited EVERYTHING……yes unlimited talking, texting, and DATA with up to 10GB of 4G LTE! Not only that, BUT……..you get a FREE Vudu movie every month with this plan ($7 value). I love that because we have movie nights often on weekends. For each of these plans we have, we get that many FREE Vudu rentals per month to watch on the big screen! With this plan, I can switch my entire family over and my bill would be at minimum, $120 cheaper every month! How crazy is that?

The selection of phones for WFM plans are outstanding whether you want something basic for a child’s first phone, or something more fancy that does more. I am a Samsung kinda gal, so I grabbed the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime (on rollback for just $79.92) for myself, and also grabbed the HTC Desire 626s (only $129) for my Honey! With his job, he is on call every 3rd night, and these calls take him on the road. He services semi trucks and things like that and he often uses data to look up mechanical information so this is really going to come in handy, for me as well since I like to come along from time to time and supervise……also takes data!
The nice lady at Walmart who set up my phone for me told me that they have a LOT of contract customers who come in and switch to the WFM plans, and often times they even bring the phones they already have to set up on the plan. The entire process is super easy. You simply choose the phone you like, grab a $25 Sim starter pack, and then take it to the set up area. The whole process took maybe 15 minutes and I was up and going.
She also let me know that once I got ready to switch the rest of my family over, that I could mix and match the plans I wanted for each, and it would knock off $5 per line. So……okay…..I had to really take this in. I can have all 4 lines, each with unlimited everything, EACH with a free VUDU movie per month for only $170! Right now for those 4 lines with 10GB data to SHARE, I’m paying $320 a month……and that’s before data charges when we go over, which is every month at least a couple times. Are you kidding me? Let’s break that down into how much I’d save in a year!!!
$1,800 Savings a Year (at least)
I could do a lot with an extra $1,800 like:
- Take a vacation
- Take a better vacation
- Take a longer vacation
- Take a further vacation
- Take 2 vacations
- Take a couple’s vacation
- Take a solo vacation…
What I’m saying here is that……
I need a vacation….and affordable, unlimited data!
