Is it just me or are today’s television cartoons a little iffy for our little ones?  I don’t have any problem with my daughter watching tv, but if she’s going to be watching them, I prefer she view ones that give her lifelong creative learning, and foster her imagination.  Since I’m an Amazon Prime member, she has access to a huge variety of shows and one of her favorites is the Amazon Original Series, Tumble Leaf.

Tumble Leaf Review
Our morning routine, being just her and I at home, is breakfast and cartoons.  Tumble Leaf is one of the few shows I can actually sit and watch with her and enjoy for myself.  I love hearing her giggle at the characters while they go on their adventures, and they’re so cute to look at and it’s really one of the best kids’ shows I’ve had the pleasure of watching.

Tumble Leaf is a stop-motion animation series that stars Fig, a blue fox, and his best friend, Stick, who’s a caterpillar.  Kynlea loves that Stick matches Fig’s neck tie, she always finds details in things before I do.  Every day, Fig, Stick and their other friends like Maple and Hedge, explore the world of Tumble Leaf.  Have I mentioned how impressive the graphics are on this series?

Each episode is made of two 11-minute stories in which Fig finds and learns about an object found in the special room of his home, which happens to be an abandoned shipwreck.  I love that the stories are short and simple but hold my daughter’s attention.  The learning aspects of this series are science-based, and the objects found are used in problem solving, which I LOVE!  I’ve had the privilege of screening some of the new episodes coming for Season 2, and I can tell you right now that you’re kids will enjoy them.  My daughter is watching them as we speak and won’t let me have my tv back 🙂

If you haven’t tuned into Tumble Leaf yet, you can view the entire Season 1 and the first half of Season 2 on Amazon Video for free if you’re already a Prime Member.  You should be able to get caught up with Fig and his friends by May 6, 2016, when the second half of season 2 will be available to watch.

Amazon Video is just one of the many benefits of having an Amazon Prime membership though, and if you aren’t yet a member but are thinking about trying it, you can do so with their 30-day FREE trial.  Any of the shows you wish to view can then be done so on many platforms from your tv, computer, tablets, smart phones, and even game consoles.  Want to get your kiddos even more excited for the new episodes? Grab these fun coloring pages for them and pass the time until May 6th 🙂
