List of Online & Offline Thrift/Consignment Shops

I’ll admit that when I was a teenager, I HATED that my mom would drag me along to yard sales and our local Goodwill. Not that I minded wearing what she would find there, but I was always afraid I’d be seen there by someone important, you know like the popular kids!

As a 35 year old mom of 4, I’ve learned to love thrift stores and yard sales, and you know what….my kids love them too, and they’re teenage boys. Maybe if they were teen girls they might not be as excited to hit the Goodwill and/or yard sales with me! We’re in the process of finishing our school shopping, and I was so proud while we were at the mall, my 16 year old told me, “I want to go to Goodwill, that’s where I find all my good jeans”. That made this mama happy!!! Oh, and just because I was at the mall, doesn’t mean I am willing to pay full price, but I will definitely hit up all the clearance racks and shop out of season. Anyway, enough about that.

I wanted to put together a list of some nifty – thrifty places to shop both offline as well as online! Yes, there are thrift stores online too, in the way of consignment stores in which many times I can grab FREE items if I play my cards right!

1. Thred Up – online consignment shop. I love this site for a few reasons, you can earn money/credit to shop for FREE by sending in your kiddos old clothes that don’t fit.
