When my boys were in school we made a huge deal out of collecting Box Tops for their school, we are super competitive and liked to turn in as many as possible. It’s such a fun and easy way to contribute to our schools by cutting a little part of the packages that are already in your home whether it’s food packages or even household items like Hefty®.
We purchase Hefty® anyway for the quality, but also because they’re the only trash bags that support the Box Tops® for education. Our schools can benefit so much from contributing these to them, even if you don’t have small children, just snip them and deliver them anyway.
Each of these little labels is worth 10 cents and schools can earn up to $20,000 every year by clipping Box Tops. This could help to go towards so many necessities from small items for the classrooms to bigger items like computers for our kids. I’ve spoken before about different ways you can collect Box Tops®. I guarantee if you look around your home, in your refrigerator, in your cabinets…..you’ll find a box top. You can snip them and store them in a little container for your child or to donate to the school yourself. I don’t know about you, but I have NEVER heard a school, teacher, or student turn down the chance to collect Box Tops® for their school. What has your children’s school never said?
Here are a few ideas on how to collect more Box Tops®:
- Ask your family members and friends to save theirs for you
- Send SASE to family out of town to mail theirs to you
- Get on Facebook and let people know you’d like to collect the, people love to donate to a good cause
- Hold a bake sale and ask for payment in the form of Box Tops®
- Have a fun raffle and charge 5 -10 Box Tops® for a ticket
We used the last idea with family and friends and it was so much fun. You can grab these printable Box Tops® raffle tickets here and host your own raffle. Do you collect Box Tops® for your school?
